Nexon, a large Japanese gaming company known for online multiplayer games, has invested in 6waves, a social games company that recently merged with San Francisco-based Lolapps. Terms of the investment were not disclosed, but reports leaked earlier this week after Hong Kong-based 6waves filed a document with the SEC saying it had raised $35 million. The investment follows the recent launches of Nexon?s popular MapleStory on Facebook and mobile.
