Based in our Melbourne office, there are two Business Analyst positions available to work as part of our Business Architecture group which is responsible for establishing overall processes for the broader AGL business to follow. The Business Analysts will be responsible for owning and enhancing the delivery of high quality and value adding business analysis expertise and the development of business cases for strategic and significant initiatives. These positions provide you with the opportunity to take ownership and accountability for your own deliverables as part of a highly engaged team while also gaining exposure to a diverse group of stakeholders and projects.

Key responsibilities in this role will include:

  • Driving initiatives, development and implementation to optimise current processes
  • Development of business requirements through workshops and interviews and understanding AGL business strategy
  • Working closely with Business Architecture to review current state architecture, undertake gap analysis and establish solution options
  • Determining potential business benefit of solution options
  • Advising on likely impacts of proposed process and system changes to business areas as required
  • Developing high level migration plans and business cases
  • Establishing business owners approval through stakeholder meetings and ultimate stakeholder signoff

To be successful in this role you will need to be a thought leader, excellent communicator with highly developed business case development and analytical/conceptualization skills. Having previously worked in a Business Analyst capacity within a large corporate environment you will have strong delivery, change and end to end project management capabilities and demonstrate an understanding of the full customer life cycles.

Please note that detailed knowledge of energy industry regulations and frameworks and experience with industry consultation will be required for one of the positions.
